VEIL
FABRIC
Our
veils are made from the best quality, top end "Bridal Illusion".
For those of you new to veils, bridal illusion is a fabric that
comes from the tulle family, but is specifically made for wedding
veils (it's NOT the scratchy material ballerinas use!) Bridal illusion
is soft to the touch, of a fine gauge, light and flowing. To see
a sample, just order a free color swatch below.

If you
do not have time to order a swatch, keep in mind that diamond white
(off white) will not match your ivory dress

VEIL
LENGTHS & WIDTHS
How
to find the inch length right for you:
Take
a measuring tape and hold the top end where you plan to place
the veil on your head. Then allow it to fall straight down
your back. With your other hand, pinch ahold of it about where
you want the veil to end. Where your fingers are on the tape
is the inch length you want!

Important
notice:
Where you place the
veil on your head will make a difference in how long
the veil will fall. Placing the veil towards the back
of your head will have a lengthening affect of a few
inches. Placing the veil on the top of your head will
have a shortening affect of a few inches. Please look
at the reference photos below so you can choose the
length that is right for you.
Different edgings & colors
are shown below. These

VEIL
WIDTHS
- 72"wide VS 108"wide
Veil
width is the amount of fabric used width wise
rather than length wise like the photos demonstrate
above. The two traditional veil widths are 72"
and 108". The 72" width is the standard
width most veils are made of and what most brides
select. The 108" is basically more fabric
being used therefor creating a greater fullness.
The photos below show the difference between
the two widths. As you can see, the difference
isn't as noticable with a single tier veil as
it is with the two tier veil.

VEIL
TOP FINISHES
An
attached comb works perfect if you plan to place the
veil directly in your hair. Having the veil attached
to a comb works well with tiaras & other headpieces.
(Please also look at 'hair suggestions to see how to
place a veil on a comb with a tiara). All of our combs
are "hidden" which means they are glued to
the underside of the veil so that it does not show once
placed in your hair.
The veil
is gathered at the top and finished without a comb.
Usually
you need a comb attached to your veil so that you can
place the veil in your hair. However, if you have your
own special comb that you want to attach the veil to
yourself, then this would be your option. (If you have
a tiara or bunwrap then we do suggest a gathered top)

HEADPIECE
& HAIR SUGGESTIONS
If
you are going to wear your hair down:
Place the veil just behind the tiara (atop your head). This
style can also be worn with your hair up like the model is.
You
will need your veil attached to a comb (This
option will be available to you when you are selecting your veil
for purchase)
If
you are going to wear your hair swept up or in a bun style:
Place the tiara in front of the up style (atop your head) and
place the veil in the back (under the swept up hair)
You
will need your veil attached to a comb (This
option will be available to you when you are selecting your veil
for purchase)
